DriveRight Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
DriveRight is a backup and file-sync application published by Fuller Consulting LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what DriveRight does with your information. The short version: DriveRight runs on your own computer and copies the files you choose to storage that you control. We never receive, see, or store your files or personal data.
1. What DriveRight accesses on your device
To do its job, DriveRight reads the folders and files you select for backup, and reads your drives so it can show you a folder list to choose from. This all happens locally on your computer. DriveRight only backs up what you select.
2. Accounts and credentials
Depending on where you choose to back up:
- Microsoft OneDrive: you sign in with your own Microsoft account. Sign-in is handled by Microsoft’s standard secure sign-in, and the resulting access token is stored locally on your computer in the secure token cache provided by Microsoft/Windows. We never see your Microsoft password.
- QNAP NAS: the username and password you enter for your NAS are stored locally in the Windows Credential Manager, which is encrypted by Windows. They are used only to connect to the NAS you specified.
These credentials never leave your computer except to authenticate directly with the service you chose (your OneDrive or your NAS). They are never transmitted to Fuller Consulting.
3. Where your files go
Your files are copied only to the destination you pick:
- Your Microsoft OneDrive account — data stored there is subject to Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
- Your own QNAP NAS — a device you own and control.
Fuller Consulting operates no intermediate server. Your files do not pass through us at any point.
4. Information we collect
We collect no personal information from you, and we run no analytics or tracking. DriveRight does not send your files, your file names, your credentials, or usage data to Fuller Consulting. For troubleshooting, DriveRight keeps activity logs on your own computer (in your Windows application-data folder); these logs stay local and are never transmitted to us.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information — because we do not collect or hold it. The only parties your data ever reaches are the storage services you choose to use (your OneDrive or your NAS).
6. Security
Credentials are stored using the secure facilities Windows provides (the Credential Manager and the Microsoft sign-in token cache). Connections to OneDrive use encrypted HTTPS, and connections to a QNAP NAS use the secure connection you configure. Because your data stays on your equipment and your chosen storage, its security is governed primarily by your own account and device protections.
7. Children
DriveRight is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this same address.
